What is SoulCollage®?
SoulCollage® is a delightful dynamic soul-tending practice of connecting to your inner wisdom through the process of creating a deck of collaged cards which are uniquely reflective of you. The process of intuitively choosing and layering images onto individual cards awakens and expresses various aspects of yourself and makes them better known to you; it is a means of knowing who you deeply are and who you are becoming. This kaleidoscopic nonlinear process illuminates the threads of interconnectedness between parts of self and between your Self and the world, and invites your conscious participation in the weaving. SoulCollage® is both a practice and a tangible container of your inner knowing which you can refer to and draw upon for guidance as you move through your life’s journey. What is the historical and theoretical framework?
SoulCollage® was developed in the late 1990's by Seena B. Frost, M. Div., M.A., M.F.T. Seena studied theology at Yale Divinity School and received a Master's degree in psychology from Santa Clara University. Special trainings with Jean Houston and Robin Van Doren inspired the combining of three of her life passions: spirituality, psychotherapy, and creativity. In shaping SoulCollage®, she drew from Fritz Perls’ gestalt therapy, Virginia Satir’s work with parts, and from art therapy which holds that art-making in and of itself is therapeutic. The process is also inspired by Jungian concepts of the unconscious and archetypes and by Jungian James Hillman’s concept of the soul’s code. The SoulCollage® process and the (Silver Nautilus award-winning) book SoulCollage® Evolving, have arisen from this magical mix.
How does it work?
Your intuition gravitates to images which have relevance to your evolving story, even when your intellect does not know why. Creating SoulCollage® cards draws upon your own rich life experiences, intuitions, and instinctual knowing, giving visual form to aspects of your personality, your relations, your body’s energetic patterns, and the archetypal and spiritual influences in your life.
How will I use SoulCollage®?
The SoulCollage® process is inherently integrative and whole-making. Each time you create cards you are tending to your inner sanctuary, creating a place where parts of self can return home. Your completed cards become unique visual guideposts that can be used to ground you in your inner wisdom as you navigate life’s questions and transitions. The techniques for using your cards in this way are simple to learn and can be incorporated into a daily practice.

My personal work with SoulCollage®
What I love most about SoulCollage® is that it serves as a tangible container that gives visible form to the artifacts of my intuitive process, holding in place a deeper knowing which I can refer to again and again to stay connected to my personal truths and the larger pattern of my life and calling. This process has illuminated the eternal threads of my life, enabling me to operate from a place of deep alignment and providing a tool for returning to my center when I lose my sense of self or get pulled off of my trajectory. Listening to the deep wisdom held within my cards helps me find the courage and inner resources to follow my inner promptings, giving momentum to my life…
